Between 2016-2019 I produced a series of reliefs relating to physical trauma as experienced specifically through the female identified body in history.
After having had the opportunity to see Gian Lorenzo Bernini’s infamous marbles on a trip to Rome in 2007, I revisited the gestures of these works as a way to animate deeply personal traumas experienced in my own body and the growing sense of its compromise.
